250 EXPANSION OF THE ORTHOGERIATRIC SERVICE: EARLY EXPERIENCES

Abstract Background The introduction of hip fracture standards has led to improvement in outcomes for patients. Other osteoporotic fragility fractures also lead significant morbidity. They are associated with a high risk future fracture. Orthogeriatric Service at model 3 hospital was expanded proactively undertake comprehensive geriatric assessment(CGA) patients over 65 non-hip fractures(NHFF) admitted the Orthopaedic Ward.
